משיבת נפש - Meshivas Nefesh
אָסוּר לְאָדָם לְיָאֵשׁ אֶת עַצְמוֹ חַס וְשָׁלוֹם, וַאֲפִלּוּ אִם נָפַל לְמָקוֹם שֶׁנָּפַל חַס וְשָׁלוֹם, וּמֻנָּח בִּשְׁאוֹל תַּחְתִּיּוֹת רַחֲמָנָא לִצְלָן, אַף עַל פִּי כֵן אַל יִתְיָאֵשׁ עַצְמוֹ מֵהַשֵּׁם יִתְבָּרַךְ בְּשׁוּם אפֶן בָּעוֹלָם, כִּי גַּם מִשָּׁם יְכוֹלִין לְהִתְקָרֵב אֵלָיו יִתְבָּרַךְ, כִּי מְלא כָל הָאָרֶץ כְּבוֹדוֹ. וְהַצַּדִּיק הָאֱמֶת אֵינוֹ נִקְרָא בְּשֵׁם צַדִּיק, כִּי אִם כְּשֶׁיֵּשׁ לוֹ זֶה הַכּחַ שֶׁיּוּכַל לְהַחֲיוֹת וּלְהָרִים אֶת אֵלּוּ שֶׁנָּפְלוּ מְאד מְאד, לְחַזְּקָם וּלְאַמְּצָם לְעוֹרְרָם וְלַהֲקִיצָם וּלְגַלּוֹת לָהֶם, כִּי עֲדַיִן הַשֵּׁם אִתָּם וְעִמָּם וְאֶצְלָם וְקָרוֹב לָהֶם, כִּי מְלא כָל הָאָרֶץ כְּבוֹדוֹ. וְכֵן לְהֵפֶךְ, צָרִיךְ הַצַּדִּיק לְהַרְאוֹת לְאֵלּוּ שֶׁהֵם בְּמַדְרֵגָה גְּדוֹלָה, שֶׁעֲדַיִן אֵינָם יוֹדְעִים כְּלָל בִּידִיעָתוֹ יִתְבָּרַךְ, בְּחִינַת מֶה חָמִיתָ מַה פִּשְׁפַּשְׁתָּ וְכוּ (שָׁם ז)
A person is forbidden to despair of himself, G-d forbid — even if he has fallen to wherever he has fallen, G-d forbid, and lies in the lowest depths, G-d have mercy, even so he should not despair of himself from Hashem in any way whatsoever. For even from there one can draw close to Him, may He be blessed — for "the whole earth is filled with His glory". The true Tzadik is called by the name of Tzadik only when he has this power — to revive and uplift those who have fallen very greatly, to strengthen and encourage them, to awaken and rouse them and to reveal to them that Hashem is still with them and near them and beside them and close to them — for the whole earth is filled with His glory. And conversely, the Tzadik must also show those on the highest levels that they still do not know at all of His greatness...
