[This section is written by R' Alter Ben Tzion:] I have come to inform you of the welfare and peace of the fellowship [אנש"ש], may they live. May Hashem grant that we merit to meet together face to face at the Tzion of Rabbainu the Holy one very soon. Amen, so may it be His will. Even though it is very difficult and burdensome for me to write — as is known, due to my weakness — even so, I will write you a little that will help greatly. My counsel is: picture in your mind that you are in the place where one must stand… etc. And bind yourself with all your strength. There is nothing greater than this. And if others say differently — that is still a difficulty, etc. But the truth in innermost truth is as stated above. And one must therefore be extraordinarily joyful — all those who are here and those who are not here — all are called by his holy name. And Hashem will certainly help you. Amen.
