In my humble opinion it seems: that he alludes through this matter to what he himself said regarding the small number of well-known ones who disputed him — as is known. And he said about some of them: that they dispute him in the aspect of the dispute between Tzaddikim [which involves very great matters — as elaborated in his words]. And about one of them he said: that he disputes in the plain sense — out of envy and hatred. And so on. And to this he alludes here: the two aspects of the above dispute. For there is the aspect of: [Psalms 119] "the arrogant have dug pits for me." And so on. And there is the aspect of: [Psalms 23] "surely goodness and kindness shall pursue me."
