Beginner: Opening verse: 'To You my heart said: Seek My face' (Psalms 27:8). Rashi explains that this refers to the heart directing a person toward God's mission — because the heart houses the principal divinity within a person. The verse 'Rock of my heart' (Psalms 73:26) confirms this: the heart is the stable, foundational seat of divine presence within the person. The heart itself says to the person: 'Go seek God's face.' The inner voice that draws a person toward God, toward holiness, toward prayer — this is the voice of the divine that dwells in the heart. It is not an external command but an internal call from one's own deepest center. The teaching: when a person feels drawn toward God — that pull is the voice of his own heart, which houses the divine spark. To follow that pull is to follow one's truest inner nature. Intermediate: Teh 27:8: 'To You my heart said: Seek My face.' Rashi: heart directs toward God's mission = heart houses principal divinity. Teh 73:26: 'Rock of my heart' = heart = stable seat of divine presence. Heart itself says: 'Go seek God.' Pull toward God = voice of divine dwelling in heart. Not external command — internal call from deepest center. Following the pull = following truest inner nature.
