T192 PNC - The True Tzaddik's Ordinary Speech Surpasses Another's Torah
Pettek Nanach Running Commentary on Likutey Moharan
Beginner: When the true tzaddik speaks about everyday matters — business, weather, mundane conversation — his words contain more holiness than the Torah teachings of an ordinary tzaddik. This is because the true tzaddik's speech is pure, unmixed with any hidden self-interest or spiritual impurity. Even an ordinary tzaddik's Torah words may contain subtle mixtures (ta'arovot) — fragments of ego or klipah woven in. But the true tzaddik's very speech, even on worldly matters, flows entirely from a pure source. Every word he utters is Torah. Intermediate: T192: The speech of the tzaddik amiti (true tzaddik) even on mundane matters is more precious than Torah from an ordinary tzaddik, because it is free of ta'arovot (mixtures of impurity or ego). The tzaddik's mouth is a pure vessel — all speech becomes Torah. LM 192.
