This reader has a human interface, but every reader page also has static crawlable text. For any book, use /reader-plain/<book>/full.txt to search the complete work, or /reader-plain/<book>/<part>/<section>/index.txt for one section. This is sitewide and works for all reader teachings, not just this page.

Beginner: Real strength isn't in the muscles — it's in the heart. A person whose heart is strong, who fears no man and no thing, can perform extraordinary feats and conquer wars, because he runs straight into battle without flinching. This is the inner meaning of the Mishnah (Avot 4:1): "Who is strong? He who conquers his inclination" — that is also strength of the heart. Samson is the archetype: "And the spirit of Hashem began to stir him in the camp of Dan, between Tzor'ah and Eshtaol" (Judges 13:25). The Spirit didn't add muscle — it clothed his heart with might. Once strength entered his heart, the awesome physical feats followed. Bottom line: outer strength is downstream of inner courage. Intermediate: T249: Ikar gevurah ba-lev — outer feats follow inner courage. Eizehu gibbor? Ha-kovesh et yitzro (Avot 4:1). Samson: ru'ach Hashem clothed his heart with gevurah (Shoftim 13:25). LM 249.
