[FM-Echadא] יח' לג:כד — אברהם עבד את ה' רק ע"י שהיה אחד; חשב בדעתו שהוא יחיד בעולם, לא הסתכל על בני העולם הסרים ולא על אביו ושאר מונעים.
**(Mi-Likutay Tinyana siman 63) — "Echad hayah Avraham"** (Yechezkel 33:24). *She-Avraham avad HaShem rak al-yedai she-hayah echad* — Avraham served HaShem only through being *one* — *she-chashav be-da'asoi she-hu rak yechidi ba-olam, ve-loi histakail klal al bnai ha-olam, she-sorim mai-acharai HaShem u-mone'im oisoi, ve-loi al aviv u-she'or ha-mone'im, rak ke-ilu hu echad ba-olam.* **Ve-zehu: "Echad hayah Avraham."** Avraham did not look at the bnai ha-olam who turned from HaShem; he did not look at his father, his other mone'im. He held himself, in his own da'as, as if there were only him. The frame had only *Avraham and HaShem*. That is *how* one becomes Avraham.

**Ve-chain kol ha-rotzeh li-chnos ba-avoidas HaShem — i-efshar lo li-chnos ki im al-yedai she-yachshov she-ain ba-olam ki im hu le-vado yechidi ba-olam.** *The first law of entering avoidas HaShem*: *you cannot enter except by thinking that there is no-one in the world but you alone, yechidi ba-olam*. **Ve-loi yistakail al shum adam ha-mone'a** — *ke-gon aviv ve-imo oi chosno ve-ishto u-vanav ve-cha-yoitzai* — *oi ha-meni'os she-yaish mi-she'or bnai ha-olam, ha-mal'igim u-mesisim u-mone'im mai-avoidaso yisborach.* **Father. Mother. Father-in-law. Wife. Children.** *Ke-yoitzai.* The roster is the *specific* one nearly every Yid faces. **Ve-tzorich she-loi yochush ve-yistakail alaihem klal** — *do not attend to them, do not look at them at all*. **Rak yih'yeh bi-bechinas: "Echad hayah Avraham" — ke-ilu hu yochid ba-olam.**
