T111 (Tinyana) PNC - Al-Yedei Tefillah Yecholin La-Vo le-Chol — And the Wish of the Dead
Petek Nanach Running Commentary on Likutey Moharan
Heishiv lo: al-yedei tefillah yecholin lavoi le-chol — le-chol toiv, le-Toirah va-avoidah u-le-chol ha-kedushois u-le-chol ha-avoidois u-le-chol ha-toivois she-be-chol ha-olamois.** A man complained: *I cannot learn*. Rabbeinu's *strict-and-soft* answer: **al-yedei tefillah yecholin lavoi le-chol — le-chol toiv** — *to Toirah, va-avodah, and to every kedushah, and to every avoidah, and to every toivah in every olam*. The *one key* fits every door.
[T2:111ב] רבינו: "אם היו מניחים מת לעוה"ז להתפלל, בודאי היה מתפלל יפה יפה בכל כחו."
**Pa'am echas amar: im hayu manichin meis la-olam ha-zeh le-his-paleil, be-vadai hayah mis-paleil yafeh yafeh be-chol kocho.** *If they let a dead man come back to olam ha-zeh just to daven — be-vadai he would daven yafeh yafeh be-chol kocho.* **The cipher**: the *one who has nothing left* is the one who would daven *with everything*. You are *that* one — and you are *still alive*. *Daven yafeh yafeh be-chol kocho — koidem she-meis ye'emar bi-leshoinkha.*
