T45 (Tinyana) PNC - Menios in Traveling to the Tzaddik — Circles Around the Inner Point
Petek Nanach Running Commentary on Likutey Moharan
When people prepare again and again to travel to the true tzaddik but obstacles keep blocking them, know this: Shabbos is the inner point from which all six weekdays — the surrounding circles — draw their sustenance (Zohar Vayakhel 204). The husks of evil drag the wicked round and round those circles, as 'the wicked walk around' (Psalms 12:9), never letting them step inward to the inner point. As long as one is still somewhere in the circles — even pushei Yisrael — there is still hope to draw closer. Only one who has totally exited the circles, like apostates, can no longer approach. The tzaddik is the inner point, the Shabbos from which everything draws life.
