Said the Soul - The great revolutions that overturn the world have the constant seeming appearance of the opposite of [HaShem's] providence G-d forbid. More so because the logical conclusion never sees the end of matters to where they arrive, what does the master may he be blessed want with his creations, and why he manages them, and what will be the end of all this; because the actions of HaShem may he be blessed have the appearance of such breadth that no heart can grasp them. And I wanted you to teach me the straight path to understand the integrity of these matters, without leaning right or left.
