He warned very strongly many times to pray with great force — to pour all one's strength into the words of prayer — as is explained at length in his holy books in many places (125). And he said many times that a person must compel himself very greatly toward prayer. Not as some say that one should not compel oneself toward prayer — on the contrary, one must compel oneself very very greatly toward prayer in every way. And even if a person has no enthusiasm and no heart for prayer — even so he should compel himself and pray with force, and through this the heart will be aroused of itself. 125.
