Afterward — when all those mentioned above had been removed from the boat and only we remained — Rabbi Aharon answered and said: the day has turned — it is impossible to search now — we must return home — and tomorrow I will go with you to search. And even though I had great anguish from this — that I would need to sleep in deflated spirit and longing of the eyes — even so it was very pleasant to me in this — so that I would not endanger myself in a small boat at night especially since I needed to search for my ship. And I returned to the dry land and gave the boatman not even a single coin. And I returned with Rabbi Aharon to the house of my host. And my mind was greatly troubled in anguish. On the road — Rabbi Aharon asked me if I did not have some new book with me. And through this he greatly enlivened me. And immediately I answered him: yes — I had with me a new book that you have not yet seen in this land — and its name was Sefer Likutay Moharan. And this matter greatly enlivened me. And I said in my heart: for this alone — all the sufferings and the tossing were worthwhile. For I was now like in the exile of Egypt — wandering and tossed and confused in Alexandria of Egypt — where it had never occurred to me that I would be here. But when I merited to mention in Alexandria in the marketplace the name of the book of our awesome Rabbainu zichrono livracha — for this alone everything was worthwhile — according to what I believe and know a little of the greatness of the holiness and awesomeness of this book and the great and awesome beneficial effects it does in the world. And if I had not been here — who knows when this book would have been mentioned here. And if I came for no other reason than this — it would be sufficient. And I immediately understood that through this question he would certainly merit to buy some book here. And so it was. And this was certainly more precious in my eyes than any wealth.
