ימי מוהרנ"ת - Yemei Moharnat
And in the morning — I entered Sidon. And we went to the grave of Zevulun. And there was there a beautiful sanctuary over his grave — and olive-oil lamps — and an Ishmaelite guardian. For also the Ishmaelites greatly honor this grave. And how shall we come before Hashem for all the good He has bestowed upon us — that we merited also to be at such a holy and awesome grave. And I lit olive oil there. And we returned from there. And afterward they told us: the city of Sidon itself was not yet Eretz Yisroel — only from the grave of Zevulun onward — from there began the border of Eretz Yisroel. How shall we come before Hashem — for all His recompense upon us. For we merited today — Sunday 20 Sivan — to prostrate at that awesome grave — in Eretz Yisroel. And tomorrow — if Hashem wills — we were ready to go to Tzfas (may it be built and established speedily in our days, Amen). May Hashem Blessed be He bring us there in peace. And may we merit to draw upon ourselves the holiness of Eretz Yisroel in truth. Amen — so may it be the will. And we hired donkeys to go on Monday to Tzfas. And they were delayed until Tuesday. On Tuesday — toward evening — we went out from the synagogue of Sidon where we had stayed in the guest room. And the porters carried all our belongings to the edge of the city. And there stood our donkeys — among fifteen other donkeys of the caravan — and all of them were Gentiles. And among them was one Jewish donkey-owner. And this was a great benefit for us. And we stood outside with the belongings many hours — until the day of Tuesday had turned. And we did not leave Sidon until two hours into the night of Wednesday. And then at night — we sat on the donkeys. And we traveled all night — until about two hours before daytime. And on this night I entered within the border of Eretz Yisroel with certainty. And we had great joy.
