And behold — I had great anguish. For the money had run out for me upon my coming to Eretz Yisroel. And I had no money for the return journey expenses. And the note I had for money of Rabbi Shlomo that was in the hand of Rabbi Dovid — he did not wish to pay me except fifty grush. And I had very great anguish from this. And because of this I was detained in Tiberias for the second Shabbas mentioned above. And on Sunday — Parshas Balak — Hashem had pity on me. And He arranged for me by way of miracle and wondrous Providence — that as I was sitting there at the morning meal at the house of a person who had made a meal for us — there Hashem Blessed be He arranged that suddenly a woman came and said to me that I should take with me some silver vessels — and she had permission to sell them in Alexandria — and to transfer the money to the hand of her son outside the Land. And I gave thanks and acknowledgment to Hashem Blessed be He who had pity on me with wondrous Providence in such a far place from my home — and did not withdraw His kindness from me — in His great help.
