After he said the Torah "Trust in G-d and do good" [Likutay Moharan, Torah 79] he was walking in his house here and there as was his custom — and he took a staff in his hand and said: "And the staff of G-d is in my hand" [Exodus 17] — meaning that he had merited to conquer his free will completely, as is explained in the Conversations above [#36].
