(ד) שמעתי בשמו שאמר שאם היה רוצה לגלות ולהראות היראה שלו לא היו יכולים לעמד ארבע אמות סמוך לביתו, אך הוא מעלים היראה שלו בכונה. וגם אנכי שמעתי מפיו הקדוש שאמר אני אוצר של יראת שמים שכל מי שרוצה יכול לקבל ממני. ובאמת היה נראה בחוש שכל מי שנתקרב אליו נתמלא תכף יראה גדולה ועצומה, ונתלהב מאד לעבודת השם יתברך אשר לא נראה כזאת. וגם עכשו עדין יראתו הגדולה גנוזה בספריו הקדושים, וכל מי שעוסק בהם באמת ובתמימות בא עליו יראה גדולה ומתעורר מאד להשם יתברך כי כל דבריו כגחלי אש:

(4.) I heard in his name that he said: "If I wanted to reveal and show my awe of G-d — no one would be able to stand within four cubits of my house. But he conceals his awe of G-d intentionally." And I also heard from his holy mouth himself that he said: "I am a treasure of awe of Heaven — whoever wants can receive from me." And truly it was seen with physical experience that whoever drew close to him was immediately filled with great and powerful awe, and was greatly inflamed for the service of Hashem Yisburach — the like of which was never seen. And even now his great awe is still stored within his holy books — and whoever engages in them truly and wholeheartedly, great awe comes upon him.
