לְהִתְרַחֵק מֵחֲקִירוֹת וּלְהִתְחַזֵּק בֶּאֱמוּנָה Fleeing from Philosophical Inquiry and Strengthening in Faith

(יב) שמעתי שאמר רבנו זכרונו לברכה בזה הלשון: "איין "דע מה שתשיב לאפיקורוס" בין איך" [אני הוא ה"דע מה שתשיב לאפיקורוס"]. ועוד שמעתי שאמר על ענין הנ"ל אני ואנשי:

(12.) I heard that Rabbainu o.b.m. said in these words: "I am the 'Know what to answer the heretic'" [Avos 2:14 — in Yiddish: "ain 'da mah shetoschiv l'apikores' bin ich'"]. And I also heard that he said on this matter: "I and my people."
