(מו) שמעתי שפעם אחת נכנס אחד אצלו, ואמר לו: בזו השעה היה אצלי השר של יון והשר של צרפת ובקשו אותי ושאלו מי מהם יכבש, והשבתי להם מי שיחזיק יותר עם ישראל הוא יכבש:

(46.) I heard that once one person entered to him. And he said: "At this very hour the minister of Greece and the minister of France were with me — and they sought me and asked which of them would conquer. And I replied to them: Whoever will hold more strongly with Israel — he will conquer."
