The delight of my eyes, Mr.

Z. Shazar — who is woven and braided in the mighty cords of love for the Tzadik, who is such an awesome and wondrous novelty the like of whom there has never been and will never be — who through the voice of his Torah will transform the entire world from evil to good, and he will complete everything as he desires, to bring everything to the eternal good purpose. When our righteous Moshiach comes, the awesome magnitude of his greatness will become known to all Israel — and then the mouths of the speakers of falsehood will be sealed shut, and they will be ashamed and bite their own flesh, and the truth will prevail and peace will be magnified, and the spirit of impurity will pass from the world.

Peace and all good. On Friday, 12 Tishrai, close to the entrance of the holy Shabbos, your heartfelt letter of 26 Elul 5721 arrived in my hands, together with a cheque in the amount of seventy-five Israeli liras. May blessings rest upon your head — for you have gladdened me and given me life, my dearest, the joy of my heart — through your deed and your great kindness that you have so wondrously performed for me. Rejoice and exult in your good portion, that you have merited to bind and to cleave in such a powerful love to the Tzadik and his faithful people. This is your portion from all your labor — this is your hope forever.

All your longing and the burning of your heart that burns and yearns to magnify, to glorify, and to publicize the name of the true Tzadik in the world — and every deed and every light movement that you engage in for the benefit of the affairs and the business of the Tzadik and his truly worthy people of this generation — especially all the steps and the labors you had on Rosh Hashana to be included in the holy gathering of the Tzadik who labors at the healing and the repair of our souls — all of it is recorded Above for good, and your reward shall not be diminished.

The Tzadik — who has in his hands the power to draw out all the ten kinds of arrows that were shot into them from the ten crowns of impurity — (eser kitrin d'misa'avusa), and to heal them completely through the ten kinds of melody. …And who sees with his own eyes with a complete vision the truth of truth — to discharge the debt that rests in his eyes — upon him — to bestow his good upon all the people. And to bring all their hearts under the wings of the true Tzadik — the minister of the world — who hovers and shelters over them always — to elevate them from their fall in which they have wondrously fallen to the very depths of the nethermost depths — to the ultimate ascent… And he has in his hands the power to draw out from them these ten kinds of arrows that were shot into them from the ten crowns of impurity — which are the heresies and false faiths — and to heal them completely through the ten kinds of melody.
