He who supplicates for you — who always prays — that you merit to enjoy the light of the hidden truth — to live a truly eternal life. That you merit to hear well the very deep words of truth and sincerity — that flow from the most exalted and most awesome spring. The days of old age and hoariness have seized us suddenly — and our strength is weak and scant. And the enemies of our soul have multiplied — almost without measure!

Our good now in these times — in this darkness — is literally like a rooster pecking in a garbage heap. For from within the garbage he draws out some half-kernel of barley or wheat or the like. And so he continues searching all day — until he finds each time some fragment of a crumb of bread lying in the garbage heap. And through this he gives himself life. And Hashem Yisburach — through His immense mercies — requests from Israel His near people — that at least they give themselves life with the small amount of good. Which is only like a rooster pecking in a garbage heap. For even this is precious in His eyes Yisburach — and He counts it toward a great reckoning.

Now — after He has illuminated our eyes in such darkness — to give us life as of this day in these generations — we have a great counsel and a wondrous place of refuge, etc. The klipa of Haman-Amalek stands in every generation — at every moment and every day — against each and every one — to topple him, Heaven forbid — and to greatly weaken his mind. And Hashem Yisburach Himself battles with him — through the true Tzadik — even in these our generations. He who transforms everything for good — who illuminates our eyes with such new Torah teachings — until even we are able to find and to understand the immensity of His kindness Yisburach without measure. And still our fondness is with Him (and still His fondness is toward us) — to guard the way of Hashem and to be aroused and to draw close to Hashem Yisburach from every place where one may be — from all that passes over the person at every moment.
