At this very moment I received your faithful and heartfelt blessing together with the bank draft in the amount of… from the 7th of Nissan 5727.

I will give thanks to Hashem with all my heart — that I have found grace and exceptional favor in your good and pleasant heart. And your goodness and your kindness have grown toward me so greatly. From the very depths of my heart I express to the honor of the loftiness of your exalted soul — gratitude upon gratitude and many thanks and blessings.

I will exult and rejoice in the wonders of your love and your kindness toward me. At every moment my eyes and my heart are spread before Hashem in prayer and supplication — that He grace you with grace and kindness, and may you prosper and succeed in every path — in this world and the next — with great kindness and mercy. And may He hasten and quicken your salvation and your healing in wholeness.
And may He grant success to your path — and may He magnify your peace and the peace of your household — for a long, good, healthy and fresh life. From which the holy faith will grow in these generations for all who come into the world.

A strong and correct faith — a complete, pure, clear and lucid faith — without any (blemish).

My dearest, Mr. Z. Shazar, who rolls in the dust at the feet of the Tzadik to benefit from the pleasantness of his radiance, and to satiate his soul in the lustrous brilliance of the light of his Torah.
How very wondrous is your love for me. How very sweet are your words to me, and how very much you have given me life with your words, my dear beloved brother — seeing that, praise be to G-d, the words of the exalted Rabbainu za.tza.l. are making an impression upon your pleasant heart, and giving life to your soul and restoring it greatly. I have hoped and waited for Hashem, that He increase His kindness with you, to grant you success, to make your end better than your beginning. Be strong and courageous, my dearest, to gladden yourself at all times, with all your might, through all the paths we have received from the source of wisdom — both through the good points (nekudos toavos), and through what we have merited to know from such a light of all lights, and through "Who has not made me a gentile" [Morning Blessings]. For joy (simcha) is a great remedy for all kinds of ailments — especially since the power of the Tzadik already exists in the world, the Beggar (der Bettler) who had no hands, who heals the King's Daughter, who is the aspect of the collective of the souls of Israel, through the ten kinds of melody.

Train yourself every day to immerse your logical mind deeply in the enormity of the kindness and the wondrous salvation which the Master of Wonders has performed with all of Israel and with us, even in our very days — and that He has sent us the true Tzadik, perfect in the ultimate perfection beyond which there is no perfection, utterly clean of sin, with no trace of blemish whatsoever — not even as fine as a hairsbreadth — who draws down and reveals the free lovingkindness (chessed chinam) that sustained the world before the giving of the Torah, and through this he sustains and gives life to the world even now — when the world is as distant from the Torah as they are — for he finds His G-dliness (Yisburach) even in places most remote from the Torah, and all the evil in the world is pushed aside and falls before him, and through this he gives life to all the simple people of the world, and even the nations of the world and all the distant ones who lie in the nethermost depths.
The Tzadik is himself the very aspect of the aforementioned hidden lovingkindness, which is able to sustain and give life to the world always — even when the world is as distant as it is distant.
…Who humbles himself and casts away his honor from before him — for every holy matter that pertains to the benefit of the building and the affairs of the heroic Tzadik, the great possessor of power, who has the power of attraction — to draw and to bring close the entire world to Hashem Yisburach.
My dear beloved brother — my soul and my heart! Do not be slothful in the mitzvah that Hashem has sent to your hand — and perform it for the sake of Heaven without any delay whatsoever. And be alacritous to do all that rests upon you to do. Do not say: I will do it tomorrow! Perhaps you will not have the opportunity. Do not be lazy in being a good friend to the truly God-fearing! Attach yourself to their company always — especially at the approaching holy and awesome Rosh Hashana.
[The following passage concludes the material of Letter 50, continuing directly:]
Do not be lazy to seek wisdom from the truly wise one of our generation and of all the generations — and hear and hearken to his wondrous words, etc. By day and by night his memory shall not depart from you — and always place him before your eyes. Level the path of your feet to straighten them in the way of truth — and from the path of falsehood flee and distance yourself. Do not separate yourself from the discernment (the meditation) of wisdom and moral guidance — and roll yourself in the dust of the feet of the truly wise ones and become wise.

Israel Dov Odesser
…Who relates to the true Tzadik with reverence and with immense love without end and without limit. And who strives with all his strength to greatly publicize and to make known throughout all the worlds the name of the true Tzadik — through whom the redemption will come to us and to all Israel and to the entire world. A good inscription and sealing — for a long good life and peace. One must always remember the magnitude of the loftiness of the nobility of his delicate soul — which is very high in its supernal root. To have mercy upon it, to adorn it and to beautify it and to polish it with the most supernal and most awesome lustrous brilliance of the Tzadik — to rescue it from the fowler's snare of the oppressors (and the foolish) [and the palaces] of exchange — which substitute and corrupt greatly. And to conduct oneself in the noble manner of the holy kingship of the true King's Son who was exchanged. And may they all become one band — to know Hashem and to serve Him with a whole heart, in truth and in sincerity.
