"חסדך גדול עלינו והצלת נפשנו משאול" וכו'. חשוב דרכיך, ותשיב רגליך אל דברי הצדיק הנלקחים ממקום שנלקחים, דלית מחשבה תפיסא תמן, המחזק ומקיים ומשיב את כל הנפשות אפילו הירודים מאד מאד בתכלית הירידה בכמה מיני לשונות עמוקים ותמימים. הפוך בהם והפוך בהם וסיב ובלה בהם ומהם לא תזוע, שאין לך מידה טובה מהם, להמשיך על עצמו הארה מהשיר שיתער לעתיד, שהוא מקור כל השמחות, שעל ידי זה נעשין גרים ובעלי תשובה, לקשר עצמו באמת לצדיק האמת עד שינצל וכו'. עיקר הנפילה הגדולה וכל הנפילות, שהוא מרירות החכמות חיצוניות וכפירות, שהתפשטה עכשיו כל-כך, בעוונותינו הרבים, הוא על ידי ריבוי המחלוקת שחולקין על הצדיק האמת. ועל כן עיקר התיקון תלוי על ידי שיתחברו כל ישראל יחד באהבה ושלום שבין ישראל, כי על ידי האהבה והשלום, יש להם כלים שלמים ביותר לקבל הארת השיר (של) הצדיק האמת יסוד עולם, שעל ידו זוכין לצאת מיון מצולת תאוות עולם הזה, וזוכין להמשיך על עצמו החכמה והדעת שמאיר הצדיק האמת בבניו ותלמידיו. עיקר התיקון והעצה הוא אמת.
One must cry out from the very depths of the heart — in order to burrow through to the waters from which the holy faith grows. "Men muz debivvin dos vasser vos fun dort vakst emunah." {One must dig through to the waters from which faith grows there.}
Great are the deeds of Hashem — great are the kindnesses of Hashem — that He performed wondrously with us in these our generations. Were it not for Hashem Who was with us — Who sent us such a savior and true master — we would already have been lost in our matters. "Your kindness is great upon us — and You have delivered our soul from the netherworld" [Psalms 117:2], etc.
Consider your ways — and return your feet to the words of the Tzadik — taken from the place from which they are taken — d'lait machshava tifisa tamman (where no thought can grasp). Who strengthens and sustains and restores all the souls — even those who have descended most greatly — to the very ultimate of descent — through many kinds of deep and sincere languages. Turn it and turn it — and turn and immerse and wear yourself out in them — and from them do not budge. For there is no better measure than them — to draw down upon oneself an illumination from the song that will be aroused in the future. Which is the source of all joys — through which converts and ba'alei teshuvah are made. To bind oneself truly to the true Tzadik — until one is saved, etc.
The essential great fall and all the falls — which is the bitterness of the external wisdoms and heresies — that have now spread so greatly — through our many sins — is through the great multitude of the dispute of those who dispute against the true Tzadik.
And therefore the essential repair depends upon this: that all of Israel join together in love and peace among Israel. For through the love and the peace — they have much more complete vessels — to receive the illumination of the song of the true Tzadik — the foundation of the world. Through which one merits to go out from the miry clay of the desires of this world. And one merits to draw down upon oneself the wisdom and the daas that the true Tzadik illuminates within his sons and his disciples.
The essential repair and the counsel — is truth.
