Letter 177

A song of love — a song of praise and glory — I will sing to you (to Him)… You have graced me over the two (two holy sanctuaries — B.M.) — which you have built for me to serve in them the truth with all my heart. That you have labored and exerted yourself so greatly over them — so that there be a place to serve Him…

…To make beloved His Torah and His wisdom upon them — for upon this depends the essential complete redemption.

…He glories and takes pride in him — and has given him the crown of kingship upon his head — and has made him king over Israel. In order to have mercy upon them — to arouse and to set ablaze their hearts with a blazing flame — toward the Nachal Noavaya. To make beloved upon them his Torah and his wisdom — which surpasses all the wisdoms of all the truly wise ones who have been since the day the world was created. For only he alone is able to take us out from the darkness and the descent of now. And to illuminate the eyes of all of Israel — so that all will see the light of Hashem eye to eye — which is the essential redemption. (To draw) toward the true and awesome leader and King of these our generations — the Nachal Noavaya — who rules in the wisdom of Hashem over all who come into the world. To take them out from the darkness and the deep descent — and to illuminate in their hearts the light of Hashem. That all will recognize and know Hashem eye to eye.

A song of praise and glorifications — a song of great wonders — I will sing to you. For you have performed such wondrous kindness with me — and labored and exerted yourself with such immense effort — until Hashem helped you to build for me two holy sanctuaries — to serve in them the Creator Yisburach in truth — with a whole heart. For this is all my vitality and my consolation. That all my amazement… this most exalted wondrous thing — has become known, publicized and heard in all the homes of the children of Israel. And they all speak of this and are amazed and astounded at this wonder. And they praise and bless him — they pray for him — that he lengthen days upon his kingdom — and merit to see the complete redemption speedily.

I am confident — that all my service that I merit to engage in — is considered… the words of Torah and prayer and hisbodidus — are considered before Hashem as though you yourself… For all the miracles and the most awesome wonders that Hashem performed with us in the Six Days — in Egypt and Jordan and Syria and Russia, etc. — all of it was in his merit and through his good deeds… And my strength knew — and he believed with certainty.

All my service and all my words and words of Torah and prayer that I merit to engage in — in these holy houses — is certainly as though he himself is doing this. And this will remain for him forever and for the eternities of eternities.
