Letter 196

For this is the essential wonder of the deeds of the Tzadik — for he is awesome. For he knows and strengthens every single person according to what he is — in every place where he may be — every single day — with deep and true counsels that cannot be corrupted in any way whatsoever in the world. Which are aimed precisely according to the corruption of the counsel that the Satan wishes to strengthen itself against him through its stratagems. For His thoughts are very deep. For his counsels are the counsel of Hashem — which endures forever. For "You are exalted forever, Hashem" [Psalms 92:9].

We — the children of Israel — are warned not to receive counsels from diviners and sorcerers — who are the false famous ones. Only to be wholehearted with Hashem — and to receive all counsels from the truly wise one — the Nachal Noavaya.

For the essential salvation is the wholeness of counsel — when Hashem Yisburach illuminates the eyes of the person and gives him counsel — how to be saved from what he needs to be saved from — in body and soul. As it is written: "and salvation is through an abundance of counselors" [Proverbs 11:14]. And so too in the books of Kabbalah — the counsels are called "yeshuos" — salvations.

In the Land of Israel — there is the essential repair of counsel. Where the Holy Temple and the Holy of Holies are — and there is the essential repair of counsel. And it will be fulfilled: "And there shall be one shepherd for all of them — and My servant David" — who is the Nachal Noavaya — "shall be king over them" [Ezekiel 37:24].
