(אהובי, אחי, ליבי וחיותי) אחרי אשר עיניך רואות את מעשי ה' הגדול והנורא, אשר עשה עימך גדולות ונוראות לאין שיעור, שזכית בגודל רחמנות וחנינות מהבורא יתברך, לשמוע ולטעום ולהבין בעומק ליבך החם, ולהכניס בעומק ליבך החם דברי אמת, נפלאים וגנוזים וצפונים כאלה, המאירים בכל העולמות, הגנוזים וצפונים כל-כך מעיני העולם, ואף על פי כן הם גנוזים וצפונים. חלילה לך מחדול מלהודיע ולפרסם בקולי קולות עד לב השמים אמיתת הצדיק האמת לכל בני-ישראל, ולהלהיב ולחמם לבבם בתבערת אש הקודש שלו, שלא יכבה לנצח, עד שכולם יכירו וידעו נפלאות גבורת כוחו ותקפו ותפארתו של הצדיק האמת, שרק הוא דייקא עיקר מקור ושורש חיותם ותקותם וגואלם לדורי דורות לנצח. האדם, כל מה שהמזקין צריך שיתוסף עליו דעת גבוה יותר, כי כל מה שמזקין יותר הוא צריך להתקרב לשורשו ותיקונו יותר, שהוא השגת החכמה הגבוה ביותר מאד, שהיא שורש הכל. (מי שאינו מקורב להחכם והצדיק האמת, הוא בכלל עם הארץ). עיקר שם תלמיד חכם הוא מי שמקורב להחכם והצדיק האמת, כי על שם זה נקרא "תלמיד חכם", שהוא תלמיד של החכם, שהוא הצדיק האמת; ולהפך, עם הארץ נקרא מי שלא שימש תלמיד חכם, כי כשאינו מקורב להחכם והצדיק האמת הוא בכלל עם הארץ, כי אין לו כוח לקבל חכמה, שהוא השגות אלוקות.

(My beloved, my brother, my heart and my vitality.) After your eyes see the great and awesome deeds of Hashem that He performed with you — great and awesome things without measure. That you have merited — through the great mercy and grace of the Creator Yisburach — to hear and to taste and to understand in the very depths of your warm heart — and to bring into the very depths of your warm heart — such true words — wondrous and hidden and concealed — that illuminate throughout all the worlds. Hidden and concealed so greatly from the eyes of the world. And even so they are hidden and concealed.
Heaven forbid that you cease from making known and from publicizing with thunderous voice to the very heart of the heavens — the truth of the true Tzadik — to all the children of Israel. And to inflame and to warm their hearts with the burning of his holy fire — that will never be extinguished forever. Until all will recognize and know the wondrous heroic deeds of his power and his force and his glory — of the true Tzadik. For only he specifically is the essential source and root of their vitality and their hope and their redeemer — for the generations of eternity forever.
The person — the older he grows — the more a higher daas must be added upon him. For the older he grows — the more he must draw close to his root and his repair — which is the attainment of the most exceedingly lofty wisdom — which is the root of everything.
(One who is not close to the truly wise one and the true Tzadik — he is in the category of an unlearned person.) The essential name talmid chacham (disciple of a wise one) — belongs to one who is close to the truly wise one and the true Tzadik. For on account of this he is called talmid chacham — for he is the disciple of the wise one — who is the true Tzadik. And conversely — an unlearned person (am ha'aretz) is called one who has not served a talmid chacham. For when one is not close to the truly wise one and the true Tzadik — he is in the category of an unlearned person — for he has no power to receive wisdom — which is conceptions of G-dliness.
