גּדֶל הַמַּעֲלָה לַעֲשׂוֹת מִתּוֹרוֹת תְּפִלּוֹת כַּנַּ"ל בְּסִימָן ב', כִּי עִקַּר הַפְּגָם שֶׁל כָּל הָעֲבֵרוֹת הוּא בְּהַצֵּרוּפֵי אוֹתִיּוֹת שֶׁל הַתּוֹרָה הַקְּדוֹשָׁה שֶׁיֵּשׁ בַּדָּבָר הַזֶּה שֶׁעָבַר עָלָיו וּפָגַם בּוֹ וְעַל- יְדֵי הַתְּפִלָּה שֶׁעוֹשֶׂה מֵהַתּוֹרָה יְתַקֵּן הַכּל, כִּי יַחֲזר וִיתַקֵּן וְיַעֲשֶׂה הַצֵּרוּפִים וְיַחֲזִירֵם עַל מְכוֹנָם בְּיֶתֶר שְׂאֵת כִּי עִקַּר שׁרֶשׁ כָּל הַצֵּרוּפִים הַקְּדוֹשִׁים נִתְהַוִּים עַל-יְדֵי הַתְּפִלָּה כִּי הַתְּפִלָּה הִיא שׁרֶשׁ הַתּוֹרָה, כִּי כָּל הַתְּפִלָּה הִיא כְּלוּלָה בַּעֲשָׂרָה מִינֵי נְגִינָה שֶׁבָּהֶם יָסַד דָּוִד הַמֶּלֶךְ, עָלָיו הַשָּׁלוֹם, סֵפֶר תְּהִלִּים שֶׁכָּלוּל מִכָּל הַתְּפִלּוֹת, וַעֲשָׂרָה מִינֵי נְגִינָה הֵם בְּחִינַת טְעָמִים בְּחִינַת נְגִינוֹת הַטְּעָמִים וְהַטְּעָמִים הֵם תַּכְלִית שׁרֶשׁ הָעֶלְיוֹן שֶׁל כָּל בְּחִינַת "טְעָמִים נְקֻדּוֹת תָּגִין אוֹתִיּוֹת" שֶׁיֵּשׁ בְּהַתּוֹרָה הַקְּדוֹשָׁה כַּמּוּבָן בְּתִקּוּנֵי זהַר, הַיְנוּ שֶׁכָּל הַצֵּרוּפִים שֶׁל אוֹתִיּוֹת הַתּוֹרָה שֶׁנִּתְהַוִּים עַל יְדֵי הַנְּקֻדּוֹת הַכּל נַעֲשֶׂה עַל-יְדֵי הַטְּעָמִים שֶׁהֵם שׁרֶשׁ הַכּל וְהַטְּעָמִים בְּחִינַת נְגִינָה בְּחִינַת עֲשָׂרָה מִינֵי נְגִינָה בְּחִינַת תְּפִלָּה כַּנַּ"ל נִמְצָא שֶׁעִקַּר הִתְהַוּוּת כָּל הַצֵּרוּפִים הַקְּדוֹשִׁים שֶׁמֵּהֶם נֶאֶרְגָה כָּל הַתּוֹרָה הוּא עַל יְדֵי תְּפִלָּה כַּנַּ"ל וְעַל כֵּן אִי אֶפְשָׁר לָבוֹא לְשׁוּם הַשָּׂגָה בַּתּוֹרָה כִּי אִם עַל-יְדֵי תְּפִלָּה וְעַל כֵּן צְרִיכִין לַעֲשׂוֹת מִתּוֹרוֹת תְּפִלּוֹת דְּהַיְנוּ לְהִתְפַּלֵּל שֶׁיִּזְכֶּה לְקַיֵּם כָּל דִּבְרֵי הַתּוֹרָה שֶׁלּוֹמֵד מִכָּל שֶׁכֵּן כְּשֶׁיּוֹדֵעַ בְּעַצְמוֹ שֶׁעָבַר עַל דִּבְרֵי תּוֹרָה הוּא צָרִיךְ בְּוַדַּאי לְהִתְפַּלֵּל הַרְבֵּה לְהַשֵּׁם יִתְבָּרַךְ שֶׁיִּמְחַל לוֹ עַל הֶעָבָר וְשֶׁיִּזְכֶּה מֵעַתָּה עַל כָּל פָּנִים לְקַיֵּם כְּכָל הַכָּתוּב בְּהַתּוֹרָה הַזּאת כִּי עַל-יְדֵי הַתְּפִלָּה יִתְתַּקֵּן הַכּל כַּנַּ"ל (שָׁם, הִלְכוֹת נִזְקֵי שְׁכֵנִים, הֲלָכָה ד') : .

Making prayers out of holy teachings The prominence of the virtue of making from the holy teaching (toaroas) – prayers, as mentioned earlier in article 2: For the main defect of all the transgressions is in the permutations of the letters of holy Torah which are the composite of this matter which one transgressed and defected. And through the prayer which he makes from the Torah, he will rectify everything, for he will revert, and rectify, and make the permutations, and restore them to their positions with enhanced empowerment. For the essential root of all the holy permutations come about through the prayer, because prayer is the root of the Torah. For all of prayer is included in the ten types of melody with which King David r.i.p. founded the Book of Psalms which is a composite of all the prayers. And the ten types of melody are the aspect of taamim <musical cantillation notes which embellish the words and verses of the Torah, which kabbalistically correlate to the other meanings of taamim – reasons and tastes – the most esoteric secrets of the Torah>, the aspect of the melody of the taamim. And the taamim are the pinnacle of the supernal root of all the aspects of taamim, nikoodoas <the dots and dashes which serve as vowels>, tagim <crowns – vertical lines on top of the letters>, letters, which are in the holy Torah, as is understood from the Tikunay Zohar (Tikun 69, page 105, where it explains that the taamim are from the construct of the Kesser – crown), that is that all the permutations of the letters of the Torah which are brought about through the nikoodoas <dots-vowels>, everything is done by the taamim, for they are the root of everything, and the taamim are the aspect of melody, the aspect of the ten types of melody, the aspect of prayer, as mentioned above. It comes out, that the essential genesis of all the holy permutations from which the whole Torah was woven, is through prayer, as mentioned above, and therefore it is impossible to attain any perception of the Torah except by means of prayer. And therefore it is necessary to make from the teachings (torahs) – prayers, that is, to pray to merit to fulfill all the words of the Torah (-holy teaching) that one is learning. All the more so, when a person knows of himself that he transgressed the words of the Torah, he certainly needs to pray profusely to Hashem Yisburach, that He should forgive him for the past, and that he should merit at any rate, from now on to fulfill everything as it is written in the (“this”) Torah, for through prayer he will rectify everything, as mentioned above.
