תּוֹרָה ק הַצַּדִּיק אֲשֶׁר הִשִּׂיג מָאוֹר גָּדוֹל בִּמְאוֹר הַתּוֹרָה, וּמַעֲשָׂיו גַּם כֵּן בְּשָׁוְיָם עַל כָּל פָּנִים לְפִי הַשָּׂגָתוֹ בְּהַתּוֹרָה, אָז צִדְקָתוֹ וְתוֹרָתוֹ שְׁנֵיהֶם מִתְיַשְּׁבִים בְּשׁוּבָה וָנַחַת, וּלְפִיכָךְ דַּעְתּוֹ נוֹחָה עִם הַבְּרִיּוֹת, אֲבָל הַצַּדִּיק שֶׁאוֹר חָכְמַת הַתּוֹרָה שֶׁהִשִּׂיג גְּדוֹלָה מְאֹד מִמַּעֲשָׁיו, אָז הַתּוֹרָה מַרְתַּחַת בּוֹ הָאֵשׁ הַקְּדוֹשָׁה שֶׁל הַתּוֹרָה, וְאִי אֶפְשָׁר שֶׁתְּהֵא דַּעְתּוֹ נוֹחָה עִם הַבְּרִיּוֹת וּמְעֹרֶבֶת עִם הֲמוֹן עַם כְּמוֹ הַצַּדִּיק הָרִאשׁוֹן הַנַּ"ל:
The Tzadik who has attained great illumination in the light of Torah — and whose deeds are also at least commensurate with his attainment in Torah — then his righteousness and his Torah both settle in tranquillity and rest. And therefore his mind is at ease with people. But the Tzadik whose light of Torah wisdom attained is much greater than his deeds — then the Torah blazes the holy fire of Torah within him. And it is impossible for his mind to be at ease with people and intermingle with the common folk — as could the first Tzadik mentioned.
