The Torah stands by a person with the full force of his desire for his temptation — and calls to him: ""How long, you simpletons, will you love simplicity?"" [Proverbs 1:22]. And because of the strength of his desire he does not hear its call — and commits the transgression through the spirit of foolishness that has entered him. But after the completion of his desire — he immediately feels the voice of its calling and regrets the transgression.
