Thought has great power. And if one strengthens and intensifies one's thought about some matter in the world — one can bring it about that it will be so. Only the thought must be with nullification of all sensations — and the thought so powerful that it is possible to give over one's soul in one's thought literally. That is — one accepts in one's thought that one is willing to give over one's soul for the sanctification of the Name in whatever manner of death it may be — until one actually feels the pain of death. But one can through this actually die. Therefore at the time when one feels that one's soul is about to depart — one must stop and remove oneself so as not to remain there — lest one dies before one's time — G-d forbid.
