""Remember the Torah of Moshe"" [end of Malachi] — the initial letters spell "Tammuz" — without the "vav". For then in Tammuz one must draw remembrance — to rectify the forgetting that came through the breaking of the tablets which occurred in it. And since the tablets were broken — the "vav" was removed. For the tablets were six handbreadths long and six handbreadths wide [numerically equivalent to "vav"].
