תּוֹרָה רכו יֵשׁ נִגּוּנִים שֶׁל יְלָלָה וְעַצְבוּת שֶׁהֵם מִבְּחִינַת הַסִּטְרָא אַחֲרָא, וְדֶרֶךְ בְּנֵי אָדָם לִמָּשֵׁךְ אַחַר נִגּוּנִים הָאֵלֶּה, וּכְשֶׁמְּזַמְּרִין הַנִּגּוּנִים הָאֵלֶּה בְּשַׁבָּת, עַל־יְדֵי־זֶה מַעֲלִין אוֹתָם:

There are melodies of wailing and sadness that are from the "sitra achra". And it is the way of people to be drawn after these melodies. And when one sings these melodies on Shabbos — through this they are elevated.
