תּוֹרָה רנד עֵינַיִם הֵם דְּבָרִים עֶלְיוֹנִים וּגְבֹהִים מְאֹד, וְהֵם רוֹאִים תָּמִיד דְּבָרִים גְּדוֹלִים וְנוֹרָאִים, הַיְנוּ מַרְאוֹת וְחֶזְיוֹנוֹת, וְאִם הָיָה הָאָדָם זוֹכֶה לְעֵינַיִם כְּשֵׁרִים, הָיָה יוֹדֵעַ דְּבָרִים גְּדוֹלִים רַק מִמַּה שֶּׁעֵינָיו רוֹאוֹת, כִּי הֵם רוֹאוֹת תָּמִיד, אַךְ שֶׁאֵינוֹ יוֹדֵעַ מַה רוֹאֶה:

Eyes are very exalted and elevated things. And they always see great and awesome things — that is, visions and sights. And if a person merited worthy eyes — one would know great things merely from what one's eyes see — for they always see. But one does not know what one sees.
