The primary nature of time comes from the smallness of the mind [katnus ha-da'as]. And the greater the intellect — the more time diminishes. As in a dream — when the intellect departs and only the power of imagination remains — in a quarter of an hour one can pass through all seventy years. As it appears in a dream that many many times pass in a very short time. And afterwards when one awakes from sleep and the intellect returns — one sees with the intellect that all the times and years that passed in the dream were only a very short time. Rather seventy actual years are seventy years according to his intellect. And likewise in truth — in the intellect higher than ours — even what is counted by us as literally seventy years — is also a quarter of an hour or less. Only we do not understand this — like a person in a dream. If someone had come to him then and told him these years are only a quarter of an hour — he would not have believed it. And likewise there is an intellect so high that all of time is entirely nullified. And therefore Mashiach — who has passed through what he has passed through from the day of the creation of the world — and has endured what he has endured — after all this — at the end — Hashem Yisborach will say to him: ""I have this day given birth to you."" And all this will be because of the extraordinary force of the greatness of Mashiach's intellect — which will grow greatly. Therefore all the time from the days of the creation of the world will be for him literally nothing and naught. And it will be literally as if he were born today.
