תּוֹרָה סה
קיצור ליקוטי מוהר"ן - Kitzur Likutay Moharan
The Tzadik is compelled to do teshuvah on behalf of all Israel. For all the punishments that Hashem Yisborach punishes a person — just as they touch Hashem Yisborach — for ""in all their suffering He suffered"" — so too they touch the Tzadik. For all four elements from which the human being is formed — they flow from the simple foundation — which is the aspect of the Tzadik — in the aspect of: ""and the Tzadik is the foundation of the world"" [Proverbs 10:25]. And therefore: ""also to punish the Tzadik is not good"" [Proverbs 17:26] — for when He punishes any one — it touches the Tzadik himself. And therefore — all those who are closer to the Tzadik — their teshuvah is easier. For the Tzadik does teshuvah on their behalf. All the attributes flow from the four elements. And therefore when a person sees the Tzadik — who is the aspect of the simple foundation — from which all the four elements flow — it is fitting that one look and sense through this how one holds the attributes that come from the four elements flowing from the Tzadik — who is the aspect of the simple foundation. And it is fitting that one return in complete teshuvah on all of them. Why the day after Yom Kippur is called the Name of Hashem — because all the punishments for sins touch His Name, may He be blessed. And after Yom Kippur when Hashem Yisborach forgives Israel their sins — through this they are automatically saved from all the punishments and all the decrees. Through this — the primary magnification of His Name, may He be blessed. And therefore the day after Yom Kippur is called the Name of Hashem. For through the forgiveness and pardon made on Yom Kippur — the Name of Hashem is magnified.
