When a person learns Torah or performs a commandment with joy — until one dances with one's feet from joy — through this all the supporters of Torah [tamchay oraysa] are elevated. Also through this — the evil words called "regel" [lit. foot] are rectified — in the aspect of: ""he has not slandered with his tongue"" [Psalms 15:3]. Also the person is elevated through this in money — which is also called "regel" — as it is written: ""and the cattle that are at their feet."" Also one merits through this to children — which are also the aspect of "regel" — for "bera karei d'avuhai" [a son is the leg of his father]. Also one merits through this to faith — which is also called "regel". As our Sages of blessed memory said: ""Habbakuk came and set them all on one"" [Makkos 24a]. And likewise all the matters called "regel" are elevated.
