עברית ▾ May it be Your will, Hashem our G‑d and G‑d of our fathers — O G‑d Who is compassionate and gracious, slow to anger and abundant in lovingkindness and truth — that You arouse Your mercies and Your great lovingkindnesses upon us, and grant us merit through Your abundant mercies to believe in and to draw near to the true tzadikim of our generation, whom You have chosen to sustain Your people the House of Israel through them — for from them come the wellsprings of life for us and for all Israel. And therefore help us, Hashem, that we merit to draw from them a spirit of life to fill all our lacks; and may You hear the sound of our sighing [anachoseinu] always, and may we have the power to draw down — through our sighing alone, as we sigh over what is lacking in us — a spirit of life, a good spirit from the true tzadikim, to complete all the deficiencies lacking to us: whether in body, whether in soul, whether in money — in the physical and in the spiritual — may they all be filled and completed for the good. For with You is the source of life, and You pour out the spirit of life to all living and to all things in the world through Your true tzadikim who cleave to Your holy Torah always — which is our life and the length of our days. Therefore have compassion upon Your people Israel, and reveal to us Your true tzadikim — and grant us merit to draw from them the spirit of life, until we have the power through our sighing alone, as we sigh over what is lacking in us, that the lack be completed immediately; and may You fill all the desires of our heart for the good. And all the iniquities and sins and transgressions that we have sinned before You — through which we have removed and distanced the spirit of life, and through which all the deficiencies have come upon us — for all of them may You pardon and forgive through Your abundant mercies, through the true tzadikim of the generation in whom the spirit of G‑d dwells — through whom You are appeased and placated toward Israel with mercy, and through whom You atone and pardon our iniquities in every generation, as it is written: "And a wise man makes atonement for it" [Proverbs 16:14]. And nullify and break and subdue all our enemies and all who rise against us for evil — swiftly thwart their counsel and ruin their thoughts.

Hashem G‑d — You know our lowliness and our weakness at this time, for we have descended lower and lower, for strength has departed and there is none remaining, shut in or free, for our power has waned. And every single day they overpower us exceedingly — each and every one of us — to distance us from Your service in truth, G‑d forbid, and to drive us away from true life, Heaven forbid. And not enough are our troubles and pressures and toils that we have of ourselves — with the desires of the body and its evil traits overpowering us at every day and every hour, until the strength of the burden-bearer has failed — for through our iniquities we did not strive to drive out the guest from within us, until it has become, G‑d forbid, as though it were the householder itself, until our strength has utterly waned and our hand has greatly weakened. And not enough all this — but yet more rise against us, very many. "Hashem, how numerous are my oppressors" [Psalms 3:2] — as all is revealed before You: how many and what manner of enemies and accusers stand against us at every moment, whether above or below, who have opened wide their mouths against us and drawn out their tongue against us, who have gaped their mouths at us saying: we will swallow them — for they desire to swallow us up for nothing, G‑d forbid. Master of the entire universe, true Merciful One, filled with abundant mercies and mighty lovingkindnesses — You know who and what stands against us at every day and every hour. "Why do You look on, silent, when the wicked swallows one more righteous than he?" [Habakkuk 1:13]. May Your mercies now be stirred upon us, and may Your mercies roll over Your attributes. For You know that we have no power to stand against even one of our enemies — whether in the physical or the spiritual — all the more so against all of them. And why should You not have mercy upon a contemptible, trodden and crushed worm like us today — and how can those as weak of strength as we are stand in the mouth of lions? O You Who examines hearts and minds, Who knows hidden things — Hashem G‑d, You know that all my intention is directed toward Your Name in truth. And though indeed my deeds do not come out well, and my actions contradict my words, and I do not merit to have mercy upon myself to fulfill the desires of my heart — to be as Your good will in truth, which is the only thing I desire — even upon all these Your mercies and lovingkindnesses have prevailed, and the good thought You join to the deed. For You know my heart — that for some time now I have been longing and yearning and hoping and anticipating at every time and every hour to merit Your true salvation, that You help me to enter Your service in truth. And why should You lead us astray, Hashem, from Your ways? And why should You give power to those who stand against us and who wish to conceal the truth and strengthen falsehood, Heaven forbid — for we have no power to stand against them; it is only upon You that we lean, and for Your salvation we await and hope.

עברית ▾ And therefore may it be Your will, Hashem our G‑d and G‑d of our fathers, that You help us through Your abundant mercies to be saved from all our enemies and pursuers who rise against us every day — in the physical and in the spiritual. And give us the power and the holy spirit of life to overpower them, to subdue them and to cast them down to the dust — and remove from them the spirit of life that they receive from the sitra achra [other side], from the chief of the klipah [husk], so that they have no power to overpower us; and save us from their mouths, and rescue from the sword of their mouths and from the hand of the strong one, the destitute. Please, Hashem, help us through Your abundant mercies to merit to pray before You with a whole heart in truth and in complete faith — that our prayer be pure and correct and properly arranged, with complete intention in truth, that my thought be bound to the words of the prayer, that I merit to concentrate well on the words of prayer, and merit to pour out my heart like water before Your face, Hashem, in my prayer. And be with me in my help that I be able to pour out my speech [sicha] before You always, and all that is in my heart I shall speak before You. For You know that my needs are very many — for the troubles of my heart have greatly multiplied, and my mind is too short to explain and set forth before You the needs of my many requests. Therefore have pity and compassion upon my wretched soul, and help me that I be able to speak all that is in my heart before You — and send into my mouth fitting words, words of grace and supplication, in such a way that I be able to arouse Your mercy to accept my prayer before You with mercy. And may my prayer ascend before You higher and higher — and may we have the power through our prayers to arouse the supernal Eden [Eden Elyon] to open there a stirring of the overflow of mercy and supernal knowledge [da'as elyon], until the river that goes forth from there to water the garden — this is the Torah [da oraisa] where the root of our souls lies — be drawn upon us. And through this our souls growing there in that garden shall multiply and grow and flourish. And through this the pathways of the true intellect [s'vilei ha'seichel ha'emes] shall be opened for us, and we shall merit to wisdom, understanding, and knowledge. And we shall have the power to engage in Your Torah in truth. And help us through Your mercies to clarify the laws of Torah in truth — to merit to clear halachah [Torah law], and may we merit to study the books of the decisors [sefarim haposkim]; and pour out upon us true wisdom, understanding and knowledge, so that we have the power to clarify the rulings of halachah in truth — to clarify the permitted from the forbidden, the pure from the impure, the valid from the invalid — so that we have the power through this to rectify and clarify all the blemishes we have blemished in all the worlds through our many sins and transgressions, through which good and evil became mingled in all the worlds and we blemished greatly. Therefore help us through Your mercies to merit to true prayer — through which we merit that the light of the true intellect be opened for us, in such a way that we merit to clarify the ruling of halachah upon its proper foundation in truth. And through this we shall have the power to clarify the good from the evil in all the worlds we blemished through our sins — whether in this incarnation [gilgul] or in another incarnation. And may You fill all the desires of our heart for the good, and may we merit to bring from potential to actual all the needs of our requests. And so help us through Your mercies that we merit through the study of halachos to clarify and purify and rectify all four foundations [arba' yesodos] in our body — to subdue and break all the evil traits and all the evil desires that come from them, and to clarify the good in them, to merit to all the good traits in truth — in such a way that all four foundations be clarified and purified, and there be only total good, without any hold of evil at all; until all four foundations be included in the four letters of Your unique Name — from which their root above in holiness derives.

עברית ▾ Please, Hashem — have mercy upon us through Your mercies to reach all that we have requested before You. Though indeed we know how very far we are now from even one point of all that we have requested — even so, "there is no restraint to Hashem to save" [I Samuel 14:6], and nothing is too wondrous for You, and with You is the salvation to help us and strengthen us to reach all that we have requested before You. Act for Your Name's sake — and for the sake of the true tzadikim who merited to reach all of these and more. And draw upon us power and strength from them through Your mercies — to sustain us and embolden us to grant us merit to come also to all these things. And through the power of the true tzaddik to merit to overpower all the enemies who oppose the truth. And break and subdue all the channels [tzinoros] of the wicked — which are the evil traits that have overpowered them — and through this cast the wicked down to the ground, so that they have no power to overpower us, G‑d forbid; and let their hands not prevail. "Let all my enemies be shamed and greatly dismayed; let them turn back, be shamed in an instant" [Psalms 6:11].

עברית ▾ And help us to fulfill the commandment of tzitzis [fringes] in its proper perfection — in all its details and fine points and the 613 commandments that depend upon it — with complete intention as is fitting, and with a good heart and great joy; in such a way that we merit to draw down the holy spirit of life through the commandment of tzitzis, to fill all the deficiencies lacking to us in the physical and the spiritual, in body and soul. "And He takes hold of the corners of the earth and shakes the wicked out of it" [Job 38:13]. And break and cast down and subdue and humble the man of trouble and enmity — he is Esav, the hairy man — and take away his swallowed prey from his mouth. O You Who is compassionate toward the poor, Who hears the groaning of the destitute, Who thinks thoughts so that none shall be cast away from You — have mercy upon me and bring me out from between the teeth of the wicked who rise against us to swallow us up for nothing, G‑d forbid. "Let not the deep swallow me, and let not the pit close its mouth over me" [Psalms 69:16]. And just as You answered Yonah [Yonah] in the belly of the fish — so answer me through Your abundant mercies to bring me out from between the teeth of the young lions, as You promised us, as it is written: "The Lord said: from Bashan I will bring back, I will bring back from the depths of the sea" [Psalms 68:23] — and our Sages of blessed memory interpreted: from between the teeth of lions has the Holy One blessed be He promised to restore us. Our Father, the merciful Father — have compassion upon us in this time of distress; have pity and compassion upon the pursued one like me, upon the dragged and plucked one like me, upon the sighing and crushed one like me, upon the distanced and banished one from You like me. "Do not give to the wild beast the soul of Your turtledove; do not forget the life of Your poor ones forever" [Psalms 74:19]. O You Who revives the dead with great mercy — revive us and sustain us in the light of Your face; and give us the power to draw the holy spirit of life through our sighing to fill all the desires of our heart for good — that we merit to do Your will always all the days of our lives. And may we merit to truly turn from evil and to do good in Your eyes always — we and our offspring and the offspring of Your people the House of Israel, from now and forever, Amen, Selah.
