משיבת נפש - Meshivas Nefesh
מִיכָאֵל כַּהֲנָא רַבָּא מְלַמֵּד תָּמִיד זְכוּת עַל יִשְׂרָאֵל, וְכָל הַזְּכֻיּוֹת שֶׁמּוֹצְאִין בְּיִשְׂרָאֵל הוּא עַל יְדֵי בְּחִינַת שְׂעָרוֹת הַנַּ"ל, שֶׁעַל יְדֵי זֶה יְכוֹלִין לִמְצא זְכוּת אֲפִלּוּ בַּגָּרוּעַ שֶׁבַּגְּרוּעִים, כִּי בְּכֻלָּם נִמְצְאוּ כַּמָּה שְׂעָרוֹת טוֹבוֹת מַה שֶּׁמַּמְשִׁיכִין עַצְמָם כַּמָּה פְּעָמִים מֵרַע לְטוֹב כְּחוּט הַשַּׂעֲרָה. וְעַל יְדֵי מִצְוַת נְתִינַת רֵאשִׁית הַגֵּז אֶל הַכּהֵן עַל יְדֵי זֶה נִתְתַּקֵּן בְּחִינַת הַצֶּמֶר בְּשָׁרְשׁוֹ שֶׁהוּא בְּחִינַת שְׂעָרוֹת עֶלְיוֹנוֹת הַנַּ"ל, וְעַל יְדֵי זֶה נִמְשָׁכִין חֲסָדִים עַל יִשְׂרָאֵל עַל יְדֵי הַשְּׂעָרוֹת טוֹבוֹת שֶׁנִּמְצָא בָּהֶם כַּנַּ"ל (שָׁם אוֹת ג)
Michoel, the high priest, always speaks merit for Israel — and all the merits found in Israel are through the aspect of those hairs mentioned above. Through this, merit can be found even for the worst of the worst — for in all of them are found many good hairs through which they draw themselves toward good, however many times, even by a hair's breadth. And through the mitzvah of giving the first shearing to the Kohen, the aspect of the wool at its root — which is the aspect of the supernal hairs mentioned above — is rectified through this. And through this, kindnesses are drawn upon Israel through the good hairs found in them. (ibid., Ois 3)
