One who is mixed among the nations — that is, who has dealings and commerce with them — must guard himself very very greatly that it should not harm him, G-d forbid, in the sanctity of his Jewishness. For he can easily be caught in their net, G-d forbid. He must strengthen himself greatly and remind himself every time of the sanctity of his Jewishness and pray to Hashem abundantly not to learn from their deeds and ways. (ibid., Ois 244)
