The essence of the strengthening and the expertise in the laws of teshuvah mentioned above is, above all, through complete faith — to believe that Hashem is One, First and Last, and His dominion is over all places, and everything that passes over one and over the whole world — light and darkness, night and day, destruction and building — to connect all of it to Hashem, may He be blessed. This is the aspect of the binding of the lower point to the upper point. And through this one merits that no day of his life is lost, and each day one merits to find the lost things that belong to the root of his soul. (ibid., Ois 15)
