מכתבי שמואל - Michtevay Shmuel Volume 2

After warmly inquiring of your good welfare — with great love as fitting — I hereby inform you of our welfare here, thanks to G‑d, blessed be He. May Hashem grant that we merit to meet together face to face at the Tzion of Rabbainu the Holy one very soon. Amen, so may it be His will. [Yiddish:] "My dear holy brothers — I plead with you: please, have compassion, have pity, have mercy, have grace upon me! Have compassion on me! Holy, precious, good friends — save me! Pray greatly for me. I am, to my sorrow, very low of soul. And G‑d, blessed be He, in His great compassion and kindness — had compassion on me and led me toward Rabbainu's matter. 'Were our mouths filled with song as the sea,' etc. — it would not suffice to measure the greatness of the kindnesses, miracles, and wonders He has done with us." [Hebrew:] (My dear holy brothers — I plead of you greatly: please, have compassion, have pity, have mercy, have grace upon me! Have compassion on me! Holy, precious, good friends — save me! Pray greatly for me. I am, to my sorrow, very low of soul.
