T102 PNC - You Shall Be Over My House — Malchut Revealed Through Goodness (2 segs)
Petek Nanach Running Commentary on Likutey Moharan
בר' מ"א:מ; אבות ו.
Opening verse: 'You shall be over my house, and by your mouth all my people shall be sustained' (Genesis 41:40 — Pharaoh to Joseph). The core teaching: everything the Holy One Blessed Be He created — He created only for His glory (Avot chapter 6), and specifically to reveal His Kingship (Malchut) in the world. And through this revelation of Kingship, the klipot (spiritual husks/impediments) are subdued beneath the Shechinah. The question then becomes: how is His Kingship revealed?
בר' מ"א:מ; אבות ו.
God's Kingship is revealed when He bestows great goodness upon Israel — when blessing flows visibly from heaven and all can see that Israel is cared for and elevated. This is the meaning of Joseph's role 'over the house' — he is the channel through which sustenance reaches all. The tzaddik who channels blessing into the world is the one who reveals divine Kingship. By his mouth all the people are sustained — his Torah, his prayer, his blessing feed the entire nation spiritually and physically. The klipot are subdued not through warfare but through the overflow of divine goodness that leaves no room for the husks to gain purchase.
