T151 PNC - Segulah for Enduring Offspring — Rosh Chodesh Portion / Malchut Renewal (1 seg)

Petek Nanach Running Commentary on Likutey Moharan

בַּמ' כ"ח:יא-טו.

A spiritual remedy (segulah) for having children that endure: both the husband and wife should recite the Torah portion beginning 'On the beginnings of your months' (Numbers 28:11-15, the Rosh Chodesh mussaf reading) before engaging in marital relations. Similarly, the text mentions another segulah practice. The spiritual dimension: Rosh Chodesh (the new month) represents renewal, the rebirth of Malchut from concealment to revelation. The korbanot (offerings) of Rosh Chodesh sanctify the new cycle. Reciting this portion before the marital union aligns the union with the cosmic renewal and sanctification of Malchut. This creates a spiritual environment of renewal and blessing that supports the creation of holy, enduring life.
