This reader has a human interface, but every reader page also has static crawlable text. For any book, use /reader-plain/<book>/full.txt to search the complete work, or /reader-plain/<book>/<part>/<section>/index.txt for one section. This is sitewide and works for all reader teachings, not just this page.

T255 PNC - Faith in the Tzaddik Without Knowledge — Vulnerable to Falling

Pettek Nanach Running Commentary on Likutey Moharan

1

ביניים: אמונה בצדיק בלא דעת — אפשר ליפול. עם דעת והבנה — אי אפשר ליפול. עיוני: LM א׳ רנ״ה — אמונה צריכה דעת לקיומה.

1

Beginner: When a person believes in the tzaddik with bare faith alone — without any da'at, without intellectual understanding — it is possible for him to fall from that faith, because faith alone can be lost. But once he also has da'at — when he understands the tzaddik with his mind in addition to his heart — it becomes impossible for him to fall. Faith plus knowledge is unbreakable. Faith without knowledge is fragile. Intermediate: T255: Ma'amin ba-tzaddik bli da'at — efshar liplol. With da'at added (havanah b'sechel), liplol nimna. LM 255.
