Beginner: **"Da, ki yesh mochin shel Eretz Yisrael v'yesh mochin shel chutz la-aretz."** Rabbeinu opens with a geographical-yet-inner principle: *all* mochin in the world ultimately receive from the mochin of Eretz Yisrael, *because the essence of moach and chochmah is in Eretz Yisrael* — bechinas Bereshis Rabbah 16: "ein chochmah k'chochmas Eretz Yisrael." Each Jew has *cheilek* in Eretz Yisrael, and *l'fi chelko* he receives and suckles from her mochin. So in principle every Jew's mind, wherever bodily located, can be classified as bechinas mochin of Eretz Yisrael — *because* it is plugged into the source. **And yet** there exist *mochin shel chutz la-aretz* in the literal sense — and Rabbeinu names what causes them: **p'gam ha-kavod**. When a Jew pogeim, c"v, in the kavod of Hashem, *to that exact extent* he cannot draw from Eretz Yisrael's mochin. The mochin then "remain in the bechinah of mochin shel chutz la-aretz mamash." **And the symptom of mochin shel chutz la-aretz is exact and recognizable**: *they cannot equalize themselves together*. *Ein y'cholin l'hashvos da'atan yachad.* This is the structural source of *machlokes ba-olam*. Two minds suckling from Eretz Yisrael's mochin can find common ground because they share a source; two minds severed by p'gam ha-kavod cannot, because each is left isolated in his own diluted draw. (Rabbeinu honestly notes the puzzle: ideally machlokes should only exist in chutz la-aretz, yet *we see* it in Eretz Yisrael too — meaning the p'gam works at the level of mochin, not geography.) Intermediate: **Pesicha**: yesh mochin shel EY v'yesh mochin shel chu"l. *All* mochin ultimately receive from EY's ("ein chochmah k'chochmas EY," **Bereshis Rabbah 16**); each Jew has chelek in EY and yonek l'fi chelko. **Cause of chu"l-mochin**: **p'gam ha-kavod**. To the extent one pogeim ki-vyachol in k'vod Hashem → cannot suckle from EY mochin → mochin remain bechinas chu"l mamash. **Symptom**: *ein y'cholin l'hashvos da'atan yachad* → **machlokes ba-olam**. Same source = common ground; severed-by-p'gam-ha-kavod = isolated draws. **Rabbeinu's honest puzzle**: ideally machlokes only in chu"l, but we see it in EY too — i.e., p'gam works at the *moach level*, not strict geography.

Beginner: **Tikkun**: the chu"l-mochin *seek* their tikkun, and the tikkun comes specifically *be-eis she-shofei'a noam ha-elyon* — when the supernal sweetness flows. Why? Because noam elyon → *hisgalus ha-kavod*. And *kavod IS the tikkun ha-olam*, because **"לִכְבוֹדִי בְּרָאתִיו"** (Yeshayah 43:7; Yoma 38a): the entire world was created for Hashem's kavod. **The deepest part of the chiddush**: there is a *kavod prati* for every single one of the *asarah ma'amaros* by which the world was created. Each ma'amar was uttered for the sake of a *specific* kavod — that one ma'amar created its specific *cheilek* of the briyah, *for the sake of bringing back to Hashem this one specific kavod*. Another ma'amar, another cheilek, another kavod. The 10 ma'amaros are 10 distinct return-routes of kavod to the Source. **So the cosmic geometry is**: 10 ma'amaros → 10 kavod-channels → 10 cheilek-pieces of briyah → each Jew's chelek in Eretz Yisrael is keyed to one such channel. Then *p'gam ha-kavod* is precisely the disabling of one (or more) of those channels — and the mochin in the corresponding cheilek slip into chu"l-mode. The flow of noam elyon re-opens the kavod-channels at the source, the mochin re-equalize, and machlokes is replaced by *hashvayas ha-da'as*. Intermediate: **Tikkun**: at *eis she-shofei'a noam elyon* → hisgalus ha-kavod. **Yesh 43:7 "לִכְבוֹדִי בְּרָאתִיו"** (**Yoma 38a**) — world created for kavod = kavod IS tikkun ha-olam. **Deepest chiddush**: *kavod prati* for each of the 10 ma'amaros — each ma'amar created its specific cheilek for the sake of returning a *specific* kavod to Hashem. 10 ma'amaros = 10 distinct return-routes of kavod. Each Jew's chelek in EY keyed to one channel. *P'gam ha-kavod* = disabling of channel(s) → mochin in that cheilek slip to chu"l-mode. **Flow of noam elyon** re-opens channels at source → mochin re-equalize → machlokes replaced by *hashvayas ha-da'as*.
