T92 (Tinyana) PNC - Tikkun ha-Klali — The Ten Kapitlach Tehillim Against the Asarah Minei Neginah

**"Tikkun le-mikrei laylah, chas ve-shalom — lomar asarah kapitlach Tehillim, ka-mevu'ar be-Sefer ha-Rishon"** (Likutay Moharan I:205). The tikkun for *mikreih laylah*, chas ve-shalom — and for the underlying pegam ha-bris — is to say *ten chapters of Tehillim*, as elaborated in the Sefer ha-Rishon. **Why ten specifically?** — *Ki asarah kapitlach Tehillim heim keneged asarah minei neginah, she-ne'emar ba-hem Sefer Tehillim*: ten *types of song* in which Sefer Tehillim was said (Pesachim 117a; Zoihar Emor 101a; Pinchas 223; Tikkun 13; see Midrash Shocheir Toiv on Tehillim). The ten are: **berachah, ashrei, maskil, shir, nitzu'ach, niggun, tefillah, hoidu, mizmor, halleluyah**. *Asarah minei neginah ha-na"l yesh la-hem koach le-vateil koach ha-kelipah ve-ha-pegam ha-na"l, ki heim ha-hefech shel ha-kelipah ve-ha-pegam.* The ten *are* the structural opposite of the kelipah of pegam ha-bris; therefore they cancel it.

**The remazim**: each of the ten *minei neginah* is rooted in a pasuk that *speaks of laylah, of pegam, or of the tikkun thereof*. **Berachah** — *"avareich es Hashem asher ye'atzani, af leiloth"* (Tehillim 16:7). **Ashrei** — *"ashrei nesui pesha kesui chata'ah"* (Tehillim 32:1). **Maskil** — *"u-mei-Hashem ishah maskeles"* (Mishlei 19:14). **Shir** — *"u-va-laylah shiroh imi"* (Tehillim 42:9). **Nitzu'ach** — *"la-mnatzeach al tashcheis"* (Tehillim 59). **Niggun** — *"ezkerah neginasi ba-laylah"* (Tehillim 77:7). **Tefillah** — *"ha-ye'achel tafel mi-bli melach"* (Iyov 6:6 — see Rashi; Tikkun 47). **Hoidu** — *"pen titein la-acheirim hoidecha"* (Mishlei 5:9). **Mizmor** — *"ha-noisein zemiroth ba-laylah"* (Iyov 35:10). **Halleluyah** — *"ishah yiras Hashem hi tis-hallal"* (Mishlei 31:30). **"Ve-haveh hetev remazim eilu"** — and may the heart understand the cipher: every one of the ten is *aimed at the very pegam* (laylah, ishah, hoidchah le-acheirim) that the kapitlach come to repair.

**The Tikkun ha-Klali: ten kapitlach by number.** *Da, ki eilu heim ha-asarah kapitlach she-tzrichim le-omram be-oisoi ha-yom she-eira lo mikreh bilti tahor, chas ve-shalom*: **ט"ז** (Michtam le-Dovid), **ל"ב** (Le-Dovid Maskil), **מ"א** (Ashrei Maskil el dal), **מ"ב** (Ke-ayyal ta'arog), **נ"ט** (La-mnatzeach al tashcheis), **ע"ז** (La-mnatzeach al Yedusun), **צ'** (Tefillah le-Moshe), **ק"ה** (Hoidu la-Hashem kir'u bi-shmo), **קל"ז** (Al naharos Bavel), **ק"ן** (Halelu Keil be-kodsho). *Eilu ha-asarah kapitlach Tehillim heim tikkun gadol me'oid me'oid le-inyan ha-na"l, u-mi she-zoiche le-omram be-oisoi ha-yom — ein tzarich le-fached od klal mi-pegam ha-noira shel ha-mikreh, chas ve-shalom, ki be-vadai nis-takein al-yedei zeh.* **And bi-zechus tikkun chatas zeh yavo Mashiach tzidkeinu le-kabeitz nefutzoseinu** — bechinas **"boineh Yerushalayim Hashem, nidchei Yisrael yechaneis"** (Tehillim 147:2), bi-meheirah be-yameinu, omein. *(Chazak — nishlam Sefer Likutay Moharan Tinyana — Tehillah la-Keil Elyoin asher shamayim va-aretz konah.)
