T94 (Tinyana) PNC - Shloishah Roshim Mis-Kabtzin be-Rosh ha-Shanah — Tzaddik, Rosh ha-Shanah, and Your Own Rosh
Pettek Nanach Running Commentary on Likutey Moharan
עיוני: [T2:94א] תורה שהיתה כתובה אצל רבינו על נסיעה לצדיקים בר"ה. עיקרה: שלושה ראשים מתקבצים אצל הצדיק בר"ה.
Beginner: **"Shamati mi-piv ha-kadoish, she-hayah kasuv etzlo Torah al inyan Rosh ha-Shanah, she-tzrichin li-nso'a la-tzaddikim al Rosh ha-Shanah."** Reb Nosson heard *mi-piv ha-kadoish* that there was a *Torah ke-suvah etzlo* — a Toirah Rabbeinu had written — *al inyan Rosh ha-Shanah, she-tzrichin li-nso'a la-tzaddikim al Rosh ha-Shanah*: the famous Breslover yesoid that one must travel to the tzaddikim on Rosh ha-Shanah. *Ve-hayah me-va'ar sham mei-inyan **shloishah roshim** she-mis-kabtzin be-Rosh ha-Shanah, k'she-zoichin az li-h'yos eitzel ha-tzaddik.* The Toirah unfolded the soid of *three roshim* that gather *be-Rosh ha-Shanah, eitzel ha-tzaddik*. Intermediate: **Petichah** (mi-pi Rabbeinu, shamua mi-Reb Nosson): hayah etzlo Torah she-tzrichin li-nso'a la-tzaddikim al Rosh ha-Shanah; **ikkar ha-toirah** = **shloishah roshim** she-mis-kabtzin be-Rosh ha-Shanah, k'she-zoiche li-h'yos eitzel ha-tzaddik.
Beginner: **The three roshim.** *Ki ha-tzaddik hu bechinas rosh, ki hu rosh bnei Yisrael.* The tzaddik amiti himself is a *rosh* — he is *rosh bnei Yisrael*, bechinas **"rashei alfei Yisrael"** (Shemos 30:12 — and see Bamidbar throughout). *Ve-Rosh ha-Shanah hu gam-kein bechinas rosh, ki hu rosh ha-shanah.* Rosh ha-Shanah itself is a *rosh* — *rosh ha-shanah* literally: the head of the entire year that follows. *Ve-kol echad ba im mocho ve-da'ato la-tzaddik u-mekasher da'ato u-mocho she-be-rosho — she-zehu gam-kein bechinas rosh — la-tzaddik she-hu rosh bnei Yisrael, be-Rosh ha-Shanah.* Each Yid who comes brings *his own rosh* — his *moach* and his *daas* — and binds them to the tzaddik. **Nimtza she-nis-kabtzu shloishah roshim yachad**: (a) **the rosh of the talmid** (his own moach/daas), (b) **the rosh of the tzaddik** (rosh bnei Yisrael), and (c) **Rosh ha-Shanah itself** (rosh ha-shanah). Three roshim, one place, one *zman*. *Ve-hayah lo ba-zeh Torah sheleimah, ve-loi zachisi le-kabblah.* Reb Nosson laments openly: *he had a complete teaching on this*, and *I did not merit to receive it*. The remnant we have — *shloishah roshim* — is the bone of the lost giant. Intermediate: **Shloishah roshim mis-kabtzin**: (1) **ha-tzaddik = rosh bnei Yisrael** (שמ' ל:יב "rashei alfei Yisrael"); (2) **Rosh ha-Shanah = rosh ha-shanah** atzmo; (3) **ha-yachid ha-ba im mocho ve-da'aso = bechinas rosh** — u-mekasher *rosh atzmoi la-tzaddik she-hu rosh bnei Yisrael be-Rosh ha-Shanah*. **Sheleimas ha-toirah ne'evdah** — Reb Nosson: *"ve-loi zachisi le-kabblah."*
