I heard from one of the distinguished men among his people — an upright and Heaven-fearing person who truly serves Hashem — that Rabbainu, o.b.m., told him that there are people who serve Hashem and Hashem Yisburach does not show them what they have accomplished during all the days of their lives. Only after their death in the World to Come — then they will see what they accomplished. And I understood that Rabbainu, o.b.m., told him this for the purpose of strengthening — so that he should not fall in his mind because he had already engaged in the service of Hashem and still does not see in himself any effect. For there are those who cannot see all their days of life what they have accomplished — only afterward, as mentioned above.
