ימי מוהרנ"ת - Yemei Moharnat
בְּיוֹם חֲמִישִׁי נָסַע רַבִּי יוֹסְקֶע מֵאָדֶעס לְבֵיתוֹ לְשָׁלוֹם:
On Thursday I traveled from Tiraovitse. And our veteran companion Rabbi Gershon and so on — grandson of the Maggid zichrono livracha — joined me. And he traveled with me as far as Tcheirin. And we slept the night in the holy community of Zlatipolia — at the house of Rabbi Yekusiel — one of our anshei sh'lomaynu — in whose house Rabbainu zichrono livracha had lived during his time in Zlatipolia. And I found there our companion and friend Rabbi Chaikl may his light shine. And he came to us that night. And it was a joy and gladness of heart for us. On Friday I traveled before daybreak from Zlatipolia. And we came to the village of Krosnislike — where our friend Rabbi Ze'ev lived. And we did not find him at home. From there we traveled to the holy community of Kaminka. And it was already past midday. And we stayed there for Shabbas Shirah. And it was from Hashem that Rabbi Gershon mentioned above also traveled with me — since he needed to be there in the holy community of Kaminka — for all the household of the local rav were his in-laws. And on Shabbas — Rabbi Yosef Hirsh — Rabbi Gershon's brother-in-law — was with us. And a man from Medzibuizh who was the son-in-law of the cantor there. And also Rabbi Yeshaya — son-in-law of the rav — was with us the whole day. And he told me then that he had once been with Rabbainu zichrono livracha — at the time he went on a mission from the Shpolyer together with someone — and for his father-in-law the rav. And he told me the whole story — how he entered before Rabbainu zichrono livracha — and that a very great awe and fear fell upon him — and that he spoke with him much. And from the apparent content of what Rabbi Yeshaya mentioned above told him — he had laid out his entire heart before him. And that an arousal to very great repentance had drawn upon him then — in the manner of all the people who entered before him zichrono livracha. It was widely known that the moment someone entered before him — a great arousal to repentance came upon that person. And whoever remained on his ground and did not separate from him — became an upright G-d-fearing man above many — as was widely known. And he told how afterward when he came home — some of them realized he had been there. And he had great sufferings because of this. And because of this he was unable to travel again. And now he himself knows the difference between when he had been there — and now. And that they had uprooted him from true life. And could any person who looks at the truth see whether they had done him good — by preventing him from drawing close to Rabbainu zichrono livracha — or done him an evil that had no equal — a crookedness that cannot be rectified and so on.
