And behold — on Friday — Erev Shabbas Kodesh — at the time I was running with great urgency through the marketplace of Odessa in order to come to the ship. For midday had already arrived. And in a few more hours the gate would be closed — and they would not allow us to go to the ship. And I had already paid the captain all the money — namely the one hundred rubles — the hire of the ship. And the ship was ready to leave tomorrow. Therefore I was in great urgency. And I went in great haste. In the meantime — they informed me that the emissaries from Vilna mentioned above had now arrived. And in the midst of the rush and urgency I could not restrain myself — and I entered to them and spoke with them very briefly. And they conveyed greetings through me to the Holy Land. And I took my leave of them in peace. And I ascended the ship. Praised be G-d.
