After Pesach I wished to return to the holy community of Mohilov, and I first traveled to the holy community of Breslov. And I spoke at length to persuade the heart of the nagid [wealthy benefactor] R.M. of here — who was among the men of Rabbainu zichrono livracha — to send money to Rabbainu zichrono livracha to the holy community of Navoritch. For letters had arrived from him that he needed money for expenses. And the R.M. mentioned above did so and sent him approximately twenty-five red coins [gold ducats] to the holy community of Navoritch — for thus Rabbainu zichrono livracha had commanded before departing from home: that when they wished to send him money, they should send it to the holy community of Navoritch. For she had a liver ailment from which she died. And Rabbainu zichrono livracha remained alone in the holy community of Ostraha — though they hired someone temporarily to serve him until Rabbi Shmuel returned from Breslov.

And Rabbainu's wife the Rabbonis came with Rabbi Shmuel mentioned above to the holy community of Ostraha for Shabbas HaGadol. And the doctor Garde did not please her, and she said it was preferable to her to receive healing in Zaslov, where there are great doctors, and where she also had family members. And Rabbainu zichrono livracha was compelled to travel with her to the holy community of Zaslov immediately after that Shabbos. And he arrived in Zaslov very close to Pesach and was compelled to rent a dwelling there. And there was no one there to serve him except Rabbi Shmuel mentioned above — and all the household affairs, everything, fell upon Rabbi Shmuel mentioned above — for he was compelled to rent the house and to prepare matzos and all the needs of Pesach, all in a single day. And the great extent of the suffering and uprooting that they had there — it is impossible to estimate.
